WHAT IS ABACUS?

The abacus tool used in our course is a Japanese abacus called Soroban in Soroban Technology. Originating in Japan and now used worldwide, the Soroban abacus is the most effective and most powerful tool for teaching children math, more so, mental math. Once the eyes are exposed long enough, through use, to the Soroban, you no longer need the soroban or a calculator to do the math.

WHY ABACUS?

• By using the abacus (or the manual calculator) as a tool, the brainpower is harnessed.

• Also, there is overall brain development focusing on the right and left brain.
